Halloween

So today is Halloween. Let's hear what you all have planned for tonight and what you are dressing as this year. Even if you didn't party for Halloween tell us what you would have gone as!!!

Happy Halloween!

My New Toy

So I gave in to the peer pressure and bought the iPhone. Now those of you that know me, know that I love gadgets and all things techy. Well this is the cat's pajamas of all in one devices! I have to admit I didn't think I could possibly love a device more! So if you haven't seen one or haven't played with one yet head on over to your local Mac store (Coolest Place Ever!) and fiddle around with it! Fall in love and then ask for one for Christmas! Steve Jobs is my hero!

Keep and Eye on your Paycheck

Kathleen Casey-Kirschling became the 1st Baby Boomer to retire and file for Social Security. Now while this may be excting for Mrs. Kathleed it should make us a bit squeemish! It is predicted that by 2017...that's just ten years from now...that Social Security will have run its course and. Currently there is a 16:1 ratio for funding Social Security. By 2017 the figures will look more like 3:1 or 2:1. That means more money out of your paycheck! So pay attention to what is going on. When you hear Social Security reforms and taxes...they are talking to YOU...not you parents!!

One Dub Philanthropy?

I got to thinking, as a group, we could certainly make a difference. I figured I'd throw out an opportunity, get some feedback and see if this is something we would all agree to pursue- together.

After all, if we're going to take over the world...we might as well help make it better.

I propose the following: UNICEF. We each contribute $20 a month (in working girl terms: 4 days without Starbucks) for 'x' many months towards children affected by AIDS; or as a group donate $100 that would cover two children's needs for a year.

check out the options & let's start talking:
